About the name “Charis” and my quest for all natural skin care: 
“Charis” was my mother’s and grandmother’s name. It is also my middle name. It is Greek and means grace, kindness, or graceful, or God’s grace. I decided on the name Charis Creations and Charis Creations Naturals to honor the most beautiful, graceful, and loving woman I have ever known: my mother. She was loved by anyone who met her. She and my sister Tamie died in 2002 having fought breast cancer and brain lesions. Because of their fight with cancer and both of their deaths, the whole world of organic, herbs, and natural became my quest. I am on a journey to become chemical free.
A friend of mine gave me a $200 skin care set that was all organic and natural. I definitely loved it more than any other skin care I had previously used. When I ran out, I had the thought: “I can make this myself and I can do it better.” Thus I began to research skin care. Each product I used, or wanted to use, became a mission for me to understand and evaluate. Some things worked, and honestly, others I would not use. Months later, one ingredient made the product not only useable, but a miracle! I have never used products that achieved the kind of results that I have seen with Charis Creations Naturals. The first phase of my journey was to create a moisturizer and cleanser that revitalized and changed aged, mature skin. I then wanted a blemish cream/masque that actually worked! Then I investigated and developed a few personal items: long dramatic eyelashes and plump lips using all-natural product.

Right now as you and I sit here there are about 30,000-50,000 chemicals coursing through our bodies, many of which were lathered into our hair before we could write our ABC’s: potent hormone disrupters, formaldehyde and cancer-causing 1,4 dioxane to name a few.
These chemicals are known to bio-accumulate and be passed from mama to baby, increasing each generation’s chances of a particular penile defect in newborn boys, infertility and even cancer.
